My name is Amir Sohail Choudhury. I developed a keen interest in wildlife in childhood, being motivated by Dr. Anwaruddin Choudhury (one of the eminent naturalists of Northeast India). I have completed post-graduate work in Ecology and Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Wildlife. I obtained my Ph.D. degree from Assam University, Silchar (India). My research interests include the use of remote sensing and GIS to study the habitat of wild animals (especially birds and mammals) and, their population dynamics particularly in Northeast India. Also interested to study people's view on wildlife. Besides, bird watching, writing, and sketching are my hobbies. I am a freelancer and am very interested in wildlife photography as well.
